In the Supreme Court to-day, before I Mr. Justice Herdraan, in re Luther Hop- | kins, solicitor, Mr. Johnston, for the Canterbury Law Society, asked that the application for a rule nisi be not proceeded with. After hearing counsel, His Honor snii' lie understood the Law ,Society hud thoroughly investigated ilie matter and had come to the conclusion that there was no dishonesty involved, and that it really resolved itself into a. contest about the settlement of accounts between Mr. Hopkins and another. Mr. Johnston having said that this was Uie case, his Honor granted the request to withdraw the application.
