W.C.T.U. RESOLUTION. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. A resolution wis passed to-day by the W.C.T.U. convention, based 011 the figures of the Minister of health (2071 illegitimate births in five years), demanding the raising of the age of consent to 21, tho extension of the time limit for laying criminal information, and the abu'ition of the plea or belief that a girl was of age of consent as palliation of an offence.
At- the temperance rally 011 Sunday evening 52 new members were enrolled.
