CYCLOPES AND FLOODS.
GREAT DAMAGE TO SUGAR CROPS. Australian-N.Z. Cable Association. Brisbane, March 15. It is estimated that the damage to sugar crops at Tnnisfn.il is £43(>,01K). The flood at Halifax was the highest on record. A largo quantity of sugar stored at Babinda was damaged. Townsville, March 15.
During the cyclone the Rev. Mr. Kenny, superintendent of the Hull River aboriginal mission station, and his daughter were killed and his wife seriously injured. The mission buildings were entirely destroyed, and three blacks who took refuge beneath were imprisoned, ami dug out injured.
The railways in the northern districts were badly disorganised by cyclone damage and the floods. HOUSES COLLAPSIO LIKE PACKS OF CARDS. Received March 1.1 10.1 van. Brisbane, March 15.
