On February 28 we held a sheep fair at Puniwhakau in Messrs Malone and VVorthington's yards (by kind permission of Mr. H. B. Worthington). Buyers were in attendance from all.parts of the district. Sheep were in good saleable con- | dition, and a good sale resulted, nearly every line selling at the hammer or immediately afterwards, at ruling valups. On March 5, in our Stratford yards, mostly sheep were yarded, which being travel-worn were dull of sale. On March 7, at our Kohnratahi yards, we had an average yarding and sold nearly every line at the hammer.
