Despite his intense artillevying and determined attack, we repulsed the attack at al! points except in the neighborhood of Polderlioe.k, where the enemy entered some advanced posts on a front of 200 yards. We recaptured the whole of the positions after all-night severe fighting. We drove oil raiders east of Nenve Chapelle. The Portuguese captured several prisoners in a successful raid in tlii3 neighborhood. The West Kcnts made ft successful raid south of Fleuxbaix, taking a number of prisoner'. A Belgian eomr.mni'T.ia states: Two Belgian raids in the rej-ion of Nicuport killed many and brought back some prisoners. We captured a. German outpost. The enemy's raising outburst last week resulted in a recrudescence of artilleryirig on the whole front.
