LARGE MILLING AREAS AFFECTED. Hokitika, March 0. An important business deal was completed yesterday, the business of Maifroy and Co., timber merchants, beiag purchased by Sydney and Auckland gentlemen for a substantial figure. Tho purchase covers the well-known Three-Mile Mill, with large timber areas on free.. hold and Crown lands. Tho firm of Stewart and Champan, sawmillers, changed hands also. It has been converted into a limited liability company. The area affected include the mill and an area of rimu and large timber areas south of the Mikonui River, over which the firm, assisted by the County Council, is erecting a traffic bridge.
