STRATFORD DEFEATS lIAWERA. At Stratford yesterday a five-rinks closely-contested game between the above clubs ended in a win for Stratford by 5 points. In the first half 'of the game the winners had a lead of IS points, but this was reduced by ];! points lat the finish. The green was in good order, but the strong breeze upset the calculations of bowlers somewhat. A line -refreshment table'' was provided, presided over by Messrs Sangster and McLean, and was much appreciated by the visitors.
