. .1 A JURY'S SUGGESTIONS. To Kuiti, Mardi 5. At an inquest at Te Kuiti regarding the death of William M. Nash, killed at the station on Friday last, the verdict was that death was accidental and that no blame was attachable to anyone. A rider was added to the effect that the Railway Department he urged not to allow passenger carriages to run on the railways without a landing exit platform being provided; that the Department be urged to scop trains in the central position adjacent to the refreshment rooms; that a definite signal be given to passengers using the rooms before starting the train; that engines be uncoupled for watering purposes tot ren , freshment stations; and that the action of the railway cadet Smith, who attempted tp assist deceased while in difficulties was deserving of the highest praise.
