The Germans attacked in the direction of Montr Cornillet on a front of eight mindred metres, but only found four trenches which 1 had previously been evacuated under instructions. The enemy wi\s immediately driven out by a coun-'.er-attack, and our positions were entirely re-established. Our fire broke another frontal attack, cast of the Teton, in which we inflicted serious losses. A violent bombardment is proceeding south west of the Uutte du Mcsnil. Enemy raid* in Lorraine and the Vosges were reputed.
