Tn the list of defaulters appearing In the recent Gazette notice containing a list of reservists who were alleged to have failed to present themselves for medical examination, are the names of P. Hodgson, chcesemaker, Eltham, and E. R. Walsh, shop assistanat, Eltham. Hodgson's father y- "vcatly pained and highly indignant at this slur cast on his son who sailed with the 17th Reinforcements, was promoted to sergeant, won the Military Modal, and is now in England awaiting his commission, while it is stated that, E. R. Ualsh made the supreme sacrifice in France. Whoever is'responsible for the unpardonable slurs on thesebravo men should be brought to book and his name published as a warning to other careless officials.
