Christie is advertised to lecture on "National War Karma —Past, Present and Future," in the Medina Tea Rooms, Stratford, to-morrow (Sunday) evening, at 7 p.m. This lecture on a topic pregnant: with interest to all has drawn a crowded attendance wherever delivered, mid we predict the same for to-morrow evening. The "Ucan" haireutter has proved a popular article in the household. Mr. C. E. James, agent for this district, has been notified that the Government contemplates purchasing some for use with members of the Defence Department. It is a unique gift that would be much appreciated, particularly by those in the trenches, p.s with a gift of this description a soldier could afcvays keep his hair clipped short, and thus be spared a good deal of misery and irritation. An invitation is given to all to see the "I'can" haireutter. —Advt.
