GREAT LOSS OF SUGAR Australian-N.Z. Cable Association. Sydney. Feb. 21. A deputation of Queensland sugar growers told Mr. Hughes that the loss of sugar in the Mackay floods was estimated at £250,000. Mr. Hughes promised that the Commonwealth would pay for the quantity destroyed.
