SOFT GOODS DISPUTE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Fell. "20. The Arbitration Court heard a dispute in the ;oft goods trade, together with a demand by the packers for improved conditions of employment. Mr. Justice Stringer said a very important principle was involved. In each case a small body of employees sought to compel the settlement of a dispute between the workers and employers, while the hulk of the employees expressed themselves satisfied with the existing conditions. He would hear evidence as to the general conditions. If it were shown that the conditions were not satisfactory he woiild refer the dispute hack to the Conciliation Council. After hearing the evidence called hv the unions the court reserved its decision-
