SUPPLY OF SHIPS.
NOT SO GOOD FOR NEXT TWO MONTHS DAIRY. PRODUCE AND MEAT WILL BE CLEARED. By Telegrapu—Press Association. » Wellington, Last Night. Mr. Massey made the following statement to-day regarding the shipping eupply: '"I am sorry to say the outlook is not nearly so good as it was six weeks or two months ago. Fortunately in .January and up to the present the supply of shipping has been good, and we have very greatly reduced our stocks of frozen meat and dairy produce in the different cold stores throughout the Dominion. I think even now there will be no serious difficulty so far ns frozen meat and cheese are concerned. The difficulty, I am afraid, will be with regard to wool, flax, tallow and other commodities which are very .often considered to be of minor importance, but which in the aggregate are of importance to the Dominion as a whole. I hope the trouble will -not last very long, but it is just as well for ths public to know that for the next six weeks or two months the supply of shipping, especially for the articles I have mentioned, will not be so good as it has been since the. commencement of the year. I have only to say that the Government will continue to do everything it possibly can to ease the position."
