REV. H. ELLIOTT IN FEILDING.
THE CHAIRMAN ASSAULTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Feilding, Feb. 14. The Rev. Howard Eliott held a meeting in Feilding on Wednesday night ,and a branch of the Protestant .Political Association formed. Though admission was by ticket only a. number of opponents were present' and interjected. They were renrdved by the police. After the meeting the Rev. G. Stockwcll (chairman) was assaulted while returning home and considerably bruised, but not seriously injured.
