ANOTHER FATALITY. Auckland, Feb. 4. Two young' women, Misses Schrtiedeman and Wittner, had a narrow escape from drowning while surf 'bathing on Tnkapnnn beach. Dr .Carriek Robertson rescued -Miss Sclinicdeman. and then returned for Miss Wittner. He got her ashore in a heavy sea, after an extremely difficult and dangerous task. Miss Wittner was unconscious and life was restored by artificial means. Ashburton, Feb. 4. l'av;d Home, aged SO, married, with a wife and a child, was found drowned in the Metliven swimming bath yesterday morning.
