ENDLESS FILES ALONfi THE ITALIAN ROADS. Italian Army Headquarters, Nov. 20. The British troops, comprising cavalry, artillery, and infantry, present a mag. nificffht appearance as'they extend along the road for miles. • The infantry have been marching steadily for days, making 10 miles a day. The troops are good-looking boys, strong, healthy, cheerful, and in splendid condition. The artillery are equipped with guns in great number, with splendid, vigorous, and well-fed horses. The British soldiers are animated by one single sentiment, they want to "get ahead."— Reuter. ITALIAN TRIBUTE TO OUR TROOPS. Rome, Nov. 21. The Giornale d'ltalia writes:— Those English divisions sent here as a bulwark against the invasion of the Huns are among the most celebrated and valorous of the British Armv. The homage rendered by England to' Italy in sending to Italy some of her best troops must never be "forgotten. The men of Vimy, Messines, and Passehendaele descend from the North Sea to the Adriatic to show the enemy that our alliance is not a theoretical or idea! convention, but that it signifies solidarity and identity of work and programme. The General of those British troops is the most successful leader tile British Army 'had on the Western front. Italv must be grateful to England for having chosen such a leader and such soldiers for the Italian enterprise.—Reuter. THE PRINCE" OF WALES IN ITALY. Milan. Nov. 20. The Corriere delta Sera is now permitted by the censor to publish the following notice: The Prince of Wales arrived in Italy with the first regiment of British troops. He remained a couple of days in Milan, staying at an hotel near the station and taking his meals at a restaurant in the centre, and wa 5 recognised by the public. The young heir of the greatest Empire in the world surprised all who saw or spoke to him by the simplicity of his manner. During his "brief stay at Milan he did not conceal his pleasure at being -able to light, in Italy, and in Italy the nobility of his conduct will never be forgotten. A statement of,the Matin was published in The Times of November 12 to the effect that the Prince of Wales was then In Italy,
