WELLINGTON MILK SUPPLY.
WORSE THAN EVER. (From Our Own Correspondent). Wellington, Jan. 29. The Wellington City Council had another wrestle with the milk problem this evening, and did not make much progress. A deputation representing about hajf the farmers supplying the city came along to say tbat they objected :to the clearing station and to point out that the way to improve the milk supply was to quicken the distribution and reduce the handling. The Council went into committee and two hours later the Mayor reported that a sub-commitee had been instructed to inquire regarding the break down of the clearing station and to make suggestions for the improvement of the city supply. When this sub-committee has made its report the Council will take up the matter again. The city milk supply, in the meantime, seems to be worse than ever. The wise housewife boils the morning milk and is gratified if it docs not curdle in the process.
