A GIRL'S DISAPPEARANCE.
A MYSTERIOUS AFFAIR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. Annie Casey, seventeen years of ng<* disappeared unaccountably on Sunday. She was in the domestic employ of Mrs. Stewart, South Hillend, and on Sunday rode to her parents' place at Centre Bush, S miles distant. Returning in the evening the girl was accompanied part of tho way by a girl friend, and later overtook a gig, driveu by W. Crowe, and accompanied him for a short distance. She then cantered towards Stewart's. Next morning the Stewarts found the horse in a paddock, the saddle and bridle hung up in the usual place, but no trace of tho girl. The bed had not been slept in, and the effects were not touched. Search parties have found no trace so far of the girl, who was in good spirits all day, and not known to be in trouble of any, kind.
