SETTLER'S LONG RIDE TO DOCTOR. ffefcitika., IVan. 24. At Oknru yesterday a settler, .i. fieveldt, attempted to shoot a hawk with i. j.oa-rifle. The charges failed to explode, and he then threw the rifle at the bird, killiEg it. The concussion against a tree caused the charge to explode. The. bullet struck Heveldt on the left wrist, necessitating & twohundred milfr rido to the nearest doctor.
