A HEATED DEBATE. OVER ROYALIST INTRIGUES. * CONFIDENCE IN GOVERNMENT VOTED. ' Paris, Jan. 20. The Chaniber of Deputies voted confidence in M. Clemenceou after one of the moat heated debate* ever heard in the Chamber. M. Desehauel was compelled to suspend the session in ord<>r to re-establish calm. The trouble a row after a Socialist interpellation against the Royalist paper Action Francaise. To this members on the right delivered a counterattack. M. Pugliessa Conti accused nineteen deputies of collaborating in a newspaper it Limoges founded with Germany money in which Liebknecht and Bernstein were interested. They further accused M. Longuet, who is Karl Marx's grandson, of writing for a German Swiss paper. Finally the Chamber bv 308 votes to 118 adopted the order of the day stating that the Government should check all Royalist and other movements attempting to create civil war. and expressing confidence in the Government to act. 'During the debate the Socialist Mayeras struck M. Pugliesse Conti, who subsequently i>ent his second to Mayeras, who declined to admit himself wrong, as M. Puglio«se Conti had produced a revolver. M. Pugliesse Conti then sent his second to M. Ijenguet.
CHARGE OF TREASON. SUPPLYING ENEMY WITH PLANS. Received Jan. 21, 0.50 p.ir Paris, Jan. 20. M. Malvy has been cited to appear liefore the . High Court on Monday to answer M. Dnubet'fi charges of supplying the enemy with French military and diplomatic plans, particularly the plan of the Chemin des Dames attack, and also encouraging the enemy by promoting and inciting mutiny. The case is expected to be opened on the 28th inst.
