USED POSTAGE STAMPS,' To the Editor. Sir.—Will you permit me to make an appeal to your readers on behalf of the hoard of management of the Manurewa Children's Home for used postage and revenue stamps? Many thousands of people can help on our work by this means without any monetary sacrifice, find with but little labor. Wj ask only that such persons as are willing to interest themselves in such a work as that :n which we are engaged shall save and collect from thtir friends all used stamps of all countries and denominations (the higher denominations are of greater value) and send to me in large or small parcels at. frequent Intervals, For two I or three years past a. young man who I was greatly impressed with our 'work. lias been assisting the funds by realising I on all stamps which were supplied to I him; last year he handed us no less than £ls 10s 0d through th is agencv. and is anxious to do more for us. The stamps should be cut or torn off envelopes. wrappers, etc., not too close to the perforation, but in no case removed from toll paper by soakage. Your readers may be interested to know that this home has been in nxistenee! fpr twenty*, four years, is at presoht caring for 00* children, and is supported entirely bv voluntary contributions.
