AN IMPORTANT JUDGMENT By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Jan. 17. The Full Court, the Chief Justice and Justices Chapman and Hoskings on the tench, delivered a declaratory judgment this morning in the ease Cox v. Public Trustee, in which the question at issue was'the method of valuation to be adopted under the West Coasts Settlement Reserves Act, 1892. In answering a series of specific questions, the Court considered that in valu. ing the fee simple the land with improvements must be dealt with as a whole. There was no method of valuing land laid down in the Act which valuers must pursue, and the Court held that the particular method or process adopted was Immaterial as a matter of law so long as accurate results were obtained.
