Mrs. P. Willing, Bell Block, lias received word that her son, Private T. E. Willing, ia progressing favorably. A London cable announces the death of the Rev. Henry Butler, DD., master of Trinity College, Cambridge, since 1886; aged 84 years. *.. • Mr. Thomas Mullan, late inspector Manawatu Railway Company, died at his residence, Wanganui avenue, Auckland, on Friday last, aged 79. At yesterday's meeting of the Taranixki Hospital and Charitable Aid Board the appointment of Sister Gill as assjat-ant-raatron was approved, on the recommendation of the medical superintendent (Dr. E. A. Walker). Mr. John MeHarrie, aged 76, who died at Palmerston North, was for a number of years engaged in prospecting and mining in the Buller district, and was for a period farming at Karamea. He leave*' a grown-up family. Mr. George Robinson, who retired from the Land and Survey Department' six months ago, after forty years' service, died at Fendalton, Christohurch, a few days ago. After taking part in a croquet match he cycled home, and died scon afterwards from a heart seizure. The death occurred on Saturday night of Mr. Arthur Marsden, a. highly-re-spected resident of Potone. Mr, Marsden was married at Kaikoura, and had one daughter and three sons, one of whom (Lieut. Stanley Marsden) was killed ir, France a few months ago. The death is announced of Mr. Fred Bennett, a well-known resident of Dunedin. He was a member of the Moray Place Congregational Church choir for close on 40 years; was a popular Member of the Commercial Travellers' Club;' ami was also a director of the Caledonian Society. In the latest casualty list the following Taranaki names appear:—Killed in action: H. Earp (M. Earp, New Plymouth, mother), C. R. Watkins (M. E. Watkins, Stratford, mother). Died of wounds: P. W. Lincham (J. Lincham, New Plymouth, mother). Previously reported wounded, now reported not wounded: Corporal F. Baker (A. Baker, Rahotu, father). Wounded: K. B. Garland (J. E. Garland, Hillsborough, father). Wounded, admitted to hospital: V. H. Mills (J. Mills, Hawera, mother), Lancc-Corporal C. T. Stevens (C. T. Stevens, Midliirst. father), J. P. O'Sullivan (D. O'Sullivan, Opunflke, father). Previously reported wounded; now reported slightly wounded, remaining with unit: Sergeant J. P. Glentworth (H. Gientworfch, Urenui, father). The hospital report contains the following names:— Seriously ill: T. J. Surgenor (Manaia). Severe ease: R. G. Moverley (New Plymouth). Not severe, cases: A. E. Coikill, C.S.M. W. W. Gibb (Kltham), W. D. Graham, C. E. Hndlnnd (Inglewood), T. h. King (New Plymouth), C. H. Larking (New Plymouth), G. L. Miles (Inglewood), M. B. O'Grady and J. Rooney
