STEFANSSON'S ARCTIC DISCOVERIES Australian -N.Z. Cable Association. Ottawa, Jan. 16. Stefansson discovered several ' large Arctic islands north-west of Banks Land and took possession of them in, the name of Canada. Stefansson intends to remain an additional year in the Arctic to explore the new lands from Wrangle Maui* as a base.
