DOUBLE DROWNING FATALITY
MAN AND WIFE LOSE THEIR LIVES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. A double drowning fatality occurred to-day at Cabbage Tree crossing, Tuki Tuki river, near Hastings, James Meary and his wife losing their lives. The couple were employed as a married couple on Mr. F. McKenzie'a station. Deceased were crossing the river, which is in flood, in a trap, which upset. Later on the horses were rescued, and the man's body recovered, but the body of his wife has not yet been found.
