r (From 0»r Own Correspondent.) Inglewood, .Tan. !i. j Quito a large number of boys returned from the front during the week, namely, Lieut. Taylor, Privates Drake, (Jyde. Coddi' .Spurdle, liraoegirdle, Priest, and Tuck. Mia worship the -Mayor and mem bers of the Patriotic Society, as well a a a large gathering of friends, assembled at the station, and the Mayor extended a hearty welcome to the boys. The Patriotic Society met "on Tupsdav evening', when there were present: The .Mayor (in the chair), and Messrs Messenger (secretary), I'ercival, If. Brown, and .1. Sutherland. An application was received from a returned soldier for a clothing allowance, and the maUer was left with the chairman and Mr. Pereival to deal with. A letter was also received from the Toriki Society asking for co-operation in securing aii explanation from tlic Minister as to the reason of sons of unnaturalized aliens being taken into camp and, after going through considerable training, being sent home. The report of the Taranakfcommlttee's executive was also read.

Another of Inglewood's eld identities, in the person of Mr. R. H. Taylor, passed' away on Sunday. The late Mr. Taylor was one of the pioneers of the dairying industry, but of late years lie led a retired life.
