♦ ~ ' RESIGNATION- OF FEDERAL CABINET. By Telegraph.—Press Association.* Melbourne, Jan. S. Cabinet has decided that Mr. Hughes shall tender the resignation of the Ministry to-day. RESIGNATIONS ACCEPTED. Received Jan. 9, 9.10 p.m. Melbourne, Jan, 8. The Governor-General has accepted the Ministry's resignation, and has requested Ministers to continue in office pending the appointment of successors. Mr. Tudor, after conferring with the Governor, stated that he had recoived no commission to form a Ministry, but may see. the Governor again, who, mean' while, is consulting Messrs Cook and Wise.
