HOMES FOR EX-SOLDIERS.
I'AVORAIiLE TERMS OFFERED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. In reply to an inquiry from tlie New Zealand Returned Soldiers 1 Association as to the opportunities offered returned men to acquire their own homes, the general secretary of the Returned Soldiers' Association has received a statement, from the Prime Minister to the cfieet that land may be acquired as suitable sites for residences, and houses may be erected thereon and disposed of to discharged soldiers on very favorable terms, siimlar to those provided in connection with workers' dwellings. The Prime Minister intimated tihat the necessary conditions were under consideration, and it was expected the scheme would I be put shortly into operation.
