KEGISTIIATION OP INDUSTRIAL UNIONS. iteceivcd Dec. 20, 7.45 p.m. j Sydney, Dec. 20. The Arbitration Court refused to rt register a number of railway and tram' way unions which were deregistered at a result of the late strike, and, at the R»mo time, granted registration to a number of new unions formed to take the place of the old registrations. These were granted upon certain terms, among them being rules providing against strikes, against affiliation or co-operation with political bodies or bodies outside the railway and tramway service, against any political activity as a union, and against changes of rules without the approval of the industrial registrar. The judge announced that he took the opportunity of notifying the indtxttrial world that the court had decided that something must be done to recognise the great importance to the State of the industrial union .as compared with th' trades' union.
