The following is a list of the nett proceeds of each entertainment, etc., held-' therewith: Sale of flowers at social, August 14, £2 OS 6d; social, August 28, £5 l(is; cap and apron dance, September 14, £4 10s 2d; concert, September 28, £ll 3s 4d; proceeds of bazaar, October IS, £SB 4s 3d; sale of tickets, £lO lis 3d; donation from Pastimes Club, £ 1 5s fld; proceeds, of stock sale and cheques, £lls 7s Cd. The latter substantially assisted towards the total, which, including several small sums amounting to £1 Is. reached £'2ls los fid. a creditable sum for this small district. Considering the shocking state of the roads and that the busy season was at it<i busiest, the result should bo highly satisfactory to the committee. Should such strenuous means bo again adopted for raising funds for patriotic purposes, these conditions should be considered by the organisers, as it greatly handicaps the country folk in their clTorts.
The proceeds of this campaign have been allocated to the Y.M.C.A. funds.
