Italian official: There has been violent artilierying all day between the Brenta and the Piave. Stubborn infantry lighting took place at Col Caprile. Superior forces forced back our counter-offensive, but our reinforcements re-established our position to our advantage Our concentrated fire broke an attack at the lower end of the Brenta Valley and forced the enemy to retire in disorder.
