AMERICAN DESTROYER TORPEDOED. SIXTY MISSING. Received Dec. 9, 5.5 p.m. _ Ottawa, Dec. 8. The American destroyer Jacob Jones was fjorpedoed in European waters. There ire 37 survivors, and 00 are ingSEW SHIPPING TO JILL LOSSES. New York, Dec. 7. Mr. Grasty, cabling from Paris, states that he interviewed a high Allied authority, who says that the construction of Allied shipping will overtake the losses by submarines about May.
