A large number of prize show lanfe realised high prices. BURNSIDE MARKET. Dunedin, Dee. 5 At Burnside 231 fat cattle were penned, mostly good to fair quality. Pries declined 10s to las from last week's rates. Sheep.—Best woolly wethers 57s fid. best, woolly ewes 595. medium weight woolly wethers 46s to 4,«5, others 33 s to 4Gs, best shorn wethers 425, medium 30s to 40s. Lambs (115 penned).—These sold on a par with last week's rates. There was a very large yarding of pigs, and price? showed a decline of about 10s. ADDINGTON MARKET. Christchnrch, Dee, 5. At Aildinglon market to-day there were fairly large Supplies of both fat and store stock. The beef was mostly prime, and included a tine line of bullocks from South AVestland, which topped .the market at £27 ss. Prices were a shade easier. Prime lambs showed no change, but other sorts were rather weaker. The entry of lambs totalled G32, the largest this season. Fat sheep were in moderate supply, but in view of •large yardings of beef and lamib.there were more sheep than were required, and the market cased considerably towards the end. Forward store "sheep sold well, but. the demand for backward sorts was not active. The bulk of the offerings consisted of shorn two-., tooths. The store cattle market was rather dull and young stoek was much easier. Pigs of all chisses sold well.
