A PROSECUTION FAILS. Eeceived Dec. 6, 9 p.m. Sydney, Dec. 6. Under tie War Precautions Act, exSenator Eae, press representative of the No Conceription Committee, was charged with verbally making a false statement of a kind likely to affect the judgment of the electors. The statement challenged the Ministerial claim that fthe number of volunteers had fallen short of the reinforcements requirements. The Magistrate dismissed the case, holding that defendant believed the statement to toe true.
