FINAL SCREENING OF "WOLF LOWKY" AT THE EMPIRE. William Hart will finally appear at the Empire to-night in the sterling Triangle drama, ''Wolf Lowry." In this picture Hart is to be seen, not as a gambler, a bad man, a gun fighter, or a killer, but, in strong contrast to his previous tfork, in a part that is almost idyllic in its big hearted, rugged honesty and devotion. His famous six shooters are drawn only once, and then with chivalrous intent. Hart plays the part of a ranchman —a grim, silent man, who is a sort of king of liis vast domains. The story circles around the one lore idventnro of a solitary man's life, a love which ends in self-sacrifice and relinquishment. TO-MORROW. Starting a three-night season to-mor-row the dainty Metro artist Mabel Taliaferro will be featured in a striking fivereel photoplay, "A Magdalen of the Hills," a- play that may Ibe summed up as the story of a mountain girl's love that triumphed over a tragedy. Besides being powerfully acted, the play has splendid scenic settings, in fact the picture is one of the year's finest offerings. On the same programme there will be shown the ninth episode of the "Secret of the Submarine," and the continuation of the "Rex Beach Travel Series."
GEORGE WALSH AT EVERYBODY'S, IN A POX FEATURE, "THE 'MEDIATOR."
Picture goers who saw George Walsh in "The Beast" some months back will welcome the news that this manly actor will again appear to-morrow night at Everybody's in a. thrillincr pieturisation of Rov_Norton's novel, "The Meditaor." This is a Western drama that is different, one of rapid action and quaint humor, with its" central character a man who loves peace so much that he is willing to fight for it, and incidentally he finds it necessary to do so. "The Mediator" is one of this year's best productions and picture patrons only need be told that it even outrivals "The Beast" to know what a. treat 19 in afore. This William Fox production is not the only big attraction to be presented to-mor-row us Bessie Barriscale appears on tho same programme in a fine Triangle feature, "Bawba 0' Blue Ridge," the story of a little mountain girl the friend of all woodlhnd creatures who knows nothing of man until she meets a city novelist and is awakened to the wonders of first love.
