ALLIES' WAR "COUNCIL. PROCEEDINGS COMMENCED Received Dec. 4, 12.15 a.m.. Paris, Dec. 3. The Allies' War Council commenced proceedings at Versailles. M. Clemenceau (French Premier), M. Piclion (Foreign Minister), Mr. Lloyd Georgo, Mr. Balfour, Signor Orlando (Italian .Minister of Interior), Baron Sonnino (Italian Foreign Minister), and Colonel House attended.
The Allied military staffs also hold a War conference at Versailles. . The rest of the hundred delegate? were split into technical committees. diplomatic" RELATIONS WITH VATICAN. Paris, Dee. 2. Cardinal Amette presided at a special meeting of the episcopate, which decided to urge the resumption of diplomatic relations with the Vatican. The matter was urgent because of the Allies' occupation of Palestine.
