OPENING TO-MORROW. , The officials and stewards have their ' duties well in hand, and are jubilant over the bright. prospects for the show r this week. Exhibitors of stock have re- : sponded splendidly, and, granted fine ? weather, there is no doubt that the 1017 : show will surpass all previous efforts. ? Dog fanciers, who always provide keen ; competition, will be pleased to know that - the additional buildings erected this vear 5 will enable their exhibits to be benched 1 in the building, which, in other years, 5 >vas used as a shed. ' Owing to the very full entries, it has - been decided to have the grand parade - half an hour earlier, and it will consei quentlv commence at 1.30 p.m. instead , of 2 p.m. 1 . A. and P. shows have always attracted 1 largo crowds, and many settlers find in theni the ore opportunity in tho year of meeting ('n irienrj-;. Tie Slralfoid show ! is the only forthcoming show in Taranaki this year, and this should induce some people to make the necessary cf- . fort to attend.
