DISTRICT COURT-MARTIAL.
SOLDIERS SENTENCED. The proceedings of district courts-mar-tial held at Trentham Camp on November K! and 15, having been confirmed, are promulgated: Private S. P. Fountain, Trentham Details, found guilty of disobeying a lawful command given by his superior officer. Sentenced to imprisonment with hard labor for two years. Sentence confirmed on November 21.
Private E. T. Drumm, Trentham Details, found guilty of disobeying a lawful command given by his superior officer. Sentenced to imprisonment with hard labor for two years. Sentence confirmed on November 21.
I'rivate J. Metcalfe, Army. Service Corps, Trentham Camp, found guilty of disobeying a lawful command given by his superior officer. Sentenced to imprisonment with hard labor for two vears. Sentence coniirmed on November 21. Private A. May, Trentham Details, found guilty of disobeying a lawful command given by his superior officer. Sentenced to imprisonment with hard labor for two years. Sentence confirmed on November 21.
Private R. Mullen, Trentham Details (F Coy., Thirtieth Reinforcements), I found guilty of deserting his Majesty's service. Sentenced to eighty-four days' detention. Sentence confirmed on November 21; but the sentence is mitigated so that if the accused embarks for active service beyond New Zealand before the expiratioir of his sentence, then the sentence of detention shall expire on the date of arrival at the overseas base of the Expeditionary Force to which he is posted, and his record shall be endorsed accordingly. Private W. A. McGill, Trentham Details (E Coy., Twenty-third Reinforcements), found guilty of deserting his Majesty's service, losing by neglect his equipment, clothing and regimental necessaries. Sentenced to imprisonment with hard labor for eleven months. Stoppages to pay for deficiencies amounting to ;G4 ISs fid. Sentence confirmed on November 21; but the sentence is mitigated so that if the accused shall embark for active service outside New Zealand before the expiration of his sentence, then the sentence of imprisonment shall expire on the date of his arrival at overseas base of the Expeditionary Force to which he is posted, and his records shall be endorsed accordingly.
