Tin- Assembly decided to r.pen correspondence with the Rev. J. Harry Miller and others, with a view to arranging for a deputation from them to the Dominion after the war and a report is to be made to the next Assembly.

It was stated that "Anonymous" ha* made a donation of £2OO, and that it might be possible to secure three men. The home and foreign mission reports were considered to-night, and it was decided that in view of the international situation, the Assembly advises tho Home Missions Committee to continue its efforts to find a temporary supply for stations, so that as many agents as can be spared may be freed to take part in the conflict for the liberty of human rights.

It was also resolved, in view of th» shortage of men for the ministry, to enjoin on ministers and agents to be insistent in bringing tho claims of the ministry before the congregations, and to take steps as soon as the war is over to secure a supply of ministers and home missionaries from churches in the Homeland, and instruct the home mission committee to submit to the next Assembly a scheme by which effect might be given to'the proposal.

The AssemWy 'appointed Mr. John Bissett, of Auckland, an assembly evangelist at a salary of £3OO with" travelling expenses and £SO house allowance. The Row J. Cummin was appointed an assembly evangelist without financial responsibility.
