LINCOLN ROAD RED CROSS. The following are the results of the Lincoln Road Red Cross mart held in Inglewood on October 27, and. considering the size of the district, the settlers have every reason to be proud of their efforts: Donation. —Messrs. Mr. Hondrieksen £l. Is, Mesdames Wilson, ITcuidley, Tuck, Messrs Wallace, Cook. Parii each £1: Mr. H. Sander ISs, Bristol road 14s. Mrs'. Wallace and Mr. h. Hunt 10s each, Mr*. AY. Thomason 12s, Mr. Fl'mtoff 7s fid. school children (sale of eggs and seeds) £1 Os fld. Competitions.—Horse donated by Mr. Sander, won by Mr. C. Osborne, £0 14s; table centre, donated by Mrs. E. Hopson and won by Mr. J. Prescott, £4 1*; cake donated, by Mrs. Roberts and won by Mr. Hogan, £3 8s; sheep donated by Mr. W. Thomason and won by Mr. Capper, £2 13s; photo frames donated by Mrs. G. Henwood and won by Mrs. Giles. £1 f)s; cushion donated by Miss R Handley and won by Miss Cramer, 15s fid. Mrs. W. Thomason was the winner of the pound cake competition, and generously donated the prize—a guinea—to the funds.
The total takings were: Donations £52 lf>s; competitions £l9 10s Gil; proceeds from basket social £2O Os 3d; mart day takings £35 4s 8d : total £I3C Ids sd; expenses £5 4s sd; nett profit £l3l VS.
