Grisborne, Yesterday The case of Frank Pantell, charge! with setting lire to the gas works oftfe*. was before the Magistrate's Court thia: morning. Mr. Barton, S.M., held that * prima facie case had not been made out, and he discharged accused. John Sheriff Dods, another employe* of the company, was,charged with em* bezzling various amounts, the total in* volvcd, between March 10)5 and May 101 C, being £1713. Accused pleaded guilty to the first series of charges, and was committed for sentence. Accused was also charged with arsou. A remand was granted.
