A DETERMINED SUICIDE. fly Telegraph.—Press Association. Fo\'ton, Nov. 12. • .alter George Williams, a single man, aged 34, a flaxmill hand, shot himself with a revolver on Saturday night at Jiis residence in the Avenue. Medical assistance was summoned and he was removed to lalmerstori North Hospital, where he died yesterday. He had relatives at Bulls and Wanganui. A TERRIBLE END. Napier, Last Night. A shocking accident occurred on Bluff hill to-day, when Mrs. McGibbon, wife of a Dannevirke bank manager, either jumped or slipped over a 300-feet precipice on to the Breakwater road. She had recently lost a son at the front, and had been missing from her hotel since the early morning. The body was reduced to a pulp, and death was, of course, instantaneous. This is the second death at that point since the war commenced, the 'previous accident being about a year ago, when a young girl, under the delusion of being pursued by Germans, jumped over the cliff.

SERIOUSLY INJURED BY ' MACHINERY. Napier, Last Night. Jack Griggs, aged Iff years, was severely injured at Holt's timber mill. He was caught in the belting, his knee being dislocated and one arm broken, besides lacerations.
