INGLEWOOD.

(From Our Own Corespondent). Inglewood, Nov. 10, The monthly meeting of the Borough Council was held on Wednesday evening, when his Worship the Mayor and Crs. Buckley, Coldwell, Gamin, Fawcett and Sutherland were present. Before business was proceeded with, his Worship moved a vote of condolence with Cr. The works committee's report was read and adopted, one of the principal items being that the borough could supply screenings and metal to the ratepayers at (is per yard as soon as present requirements of the borough were supplied. The electrical committee's report was read, applications still being reported for power, proving the absolute necessity of the council providing more power as soon as possible.

The baths committee's report recommended the completing of the concreting round the baths, and calling immediate applications for the position of caretaker.

The hall committee's report was read and adopted.

Coldwell, attend to the rehanging of the bell, with full power to act. GENERAL. A loud report was heard about ten o'clock last evening. The explosion proved to be of a serious nature. It appears that some individual had blown up Mr. Hine's engine, used for driving liis milking machine, and the explosive used was gelignite. The engine is quite beyond repair. It is to be hoped the culprit will be discovered and receive his just desserts. A meeting of the Moa School Association was held to-day, when the following were present: Messrs Sutherland (chair), Simpson (secretary), Hodges, Henwood, Owen, W. Cornev, Daisley.
