AN OFFICIAL REPORT. CAPTURE OF ASIAGO CLAIMED. Received Nov. 11, 11 p.m. London, Nov. 11. Wireless German official: English attacks north-east of Poeleapelle were repulsed in hand-to-hand lighting. There has been most violent reciprocal artillerying along the Yser and Houthulst Wood as far as Zandvoorde. We wrested from the French positions in Chame Wood. The Austro-Hungarians, pressing forward in the Valsugona and Upper Piave Valley, captured Asiago after desperate street fighting, and repulsed the Italian rearguards, which made a stand westward of Livenza, and reached Piave from Susegana as far as the sea. k. and N,Z. Cable Assoc. and Reuter. Received Nov. 11, 11 p.m. London, Nov. 11. A wireless German official report states: A strong English attack, between Poeleapelle and Passchendaele broke down sanguinarily in our defensive zone. Pursuit of the Italians, through tho mountains, continues.
