NGAURUHOE'S ERUPTION.
FURTHER VIOLENT DISTURBANCES. By Telegraph.—'Press Association. .Auckland, Last Night. Activity at Xaauruhoe continues. The Herald's correspondent telegraphs that several violent eruptions occurred during last night, the mountain ejecting boulders and lava, accompanied by vast masses of flame and smoke. The valley in the direction of Tongariro has been filling with the lava emitted from the crevice which has opened in the upper >vall of the crater. The prolonged activity lias created alarm among the residents in the neigh- | borhood, whose houses have repeatedly I been shaken by the shocks of the oruptiong.
