The city is subject to daily alarms, and is expecting a Maximalist rising and massacres. The dregs of the race seem to be gathering in the city, for expected loot. Delegates representing peace votaries, after hearing a speech by 3sotzky, the Maximalist icader, voted for a proposal that the Maximalists should demand the seizure of power. ' '.irgflMj It is believed the majority of the army will support the Government, which is exchanging telegrams with the army commanders. General Toumanoff has taken over the Ministry of War in place of Colonol Verehovsky. , MORE FAVORABLE ADVICES. WAR MINISTER ATTACKED. Petrograd, Nov. C. " Advices from the northern front are more favourable. The army committee are working energetically to restore discipline. Col. Verchousky, War Minister, has gone to the Caucasus and is likely to resign. Certain newspapers accuse him of favouring a separate peace. Col. Verchousky strenuously denies this and threatens legal action. TURKS ATTACKED. London, Nov. 5. A wireless Russian official message states that there is violent enemy artillery fire westward of Seventen Lake. Wo attacked the Turks in the Falkit sector on the Black Sea, capturing the first line trenches, and in some placet the third line also. We captured a great amount of booty. DEATH OF GERMAN GENERAL. Amsterdam, Nov. 3. General. von Bcrrcr, commanding the Wurtemberg Armies, was killed while visiting the trenches at Riga, which he took a leading part in capturing.
