A fire at Thomson and Co.'s cordial factory late on Saturday night caused damage estimated at £IO,OOO. The flro started in the 'bottling department and paused much damage to the machinery, hut two brigades extinguished the flames before the central portion of the premises was demolished. The insurances are spread among tiz companies, tho Guardian covering th» largest amount.
