CROQUET.

The frvmal opening of the Fitzroy Croquet Club took place on Saturday afternoon under enjoyable conditions. There was a good attendance and the lawn was in capital order, thanks to the unremitting care and attention bestowed upon it by Mr. 'P. Jury. In a brief speech the president of the Fitzroy Bowling and Croquet Club (Mr. S. Smith) formally declared the lawn open for the season and wished the ladies an enjoyable time.
