NEW ZEALAND LOAN AND MERCANTILE REPORT. The N.Z. Loan & Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Stratford Branch, report as follows: On Friday lnth October we held our usual monthly sale in our Tarata yards. We had an excellent yarding, and buyers were in attendance from all" parts of' the district, including Toko and Tikorangi. Bidding was brisk, and nearly everything changed hands at satisfactory prices With the improved yarding accomodation since our new yards were erected, and on acount of the central position which they occupy, their popularity has increased to such an extent that every sale shows a marked increase in the turnover.
